پس از بیش از چهار دهه حاکمیت استبداد و فضای خفقان، میهن عزیزمان امروز در آستانهٔ فرصتی تاریخی برای رهایی از ظلم و ستم است. حکایتی که اکنون در نقطهای ایستاده که از آن میتواند با آزادسازی، آزادی و آبادانی ایران، همهٔ ما توان خود را بهکار گیریم، همسو در پاسداری و ارتقاء تندرستی هممیهنان.
در این راستا، «گروه پزشکان میهندوست»، با هدف ایفای نقشی مؤثر در عرصهٔ تندرستی مردم، بهویژه در دوران گذار از جمهوری اسلامی به یک نظام دموکراتیک و سکولار، بنیان نهاده شده است. ما بر این باوریم که در چنین شرایطی لازم است که در زیرساختهای درمانی با نگاهی به نیازهای پزشکی کشور، نهایت همکاری و همدلی را داشته باشیم.
ما از همهٔ همکارانی که به سه اصل بنیادین حفظ تمامیت ارضی ایران، آزادیهای فردی و برابری همهٔ شهروندان و جدایی دین از حکومت باور دارند و حق ملت ایران برای گزینش آزادانهٔ شکل دموکراسی آینده را به رسمیت میشناسند، دعوت میکنیم تا در قالب برنامهای «همکاری ملی» که به ابتکار و راهبری شاهزاده رضا پهلوی شکل گرفته و با دیگر گروههای هممیهندوست، فراتر از هر گرایش سیاسی، در مسیر آزادی ایرانیان و شکوفایی آیندهٔ ایران گام بردارند.
